Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in America. The actress is an actor, singer and dancer. One of her first Broadway performances included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. She received her Tony Award for Best Featured actor in the Play for playing Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford is a veteran of the majority of her career working alongside renowned actors and directors across theatre and on television. she is continuing her award-winning work with several upcoming projects. Ashford will be next starring alongside Kumail Nanjiani as Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It debuts on the 22nd November. Ashford's current film includes the Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The movie will air on Disney DTC in the form of a Hulu Original. Ashford's Broadway comeback will be in the month of March 2023, when he is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail is at the leading the production. Ashford was last seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. This show is based around the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the nation's first impeachment proceedings over 100 Years. She starred in two seasons of popular CBS comedy B Positive. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not unfamiliar with Broadway won both Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in her character of Essie. Some other Broadway credits for Ashford include Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, and her role as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received an Tony Award nomination. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and now divides her life between Los Angeles, and New York.
