April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born on July 4 April, 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm for music writing. April's first song was Different, which she wrote at the age of 12. At 14 old, she devoted long hours creating song ideas and perfecting her music. Then, she began taking trips in NY and LA along with her dad to help them to write songs. April added other themes to the track "Take My Hand" for some of the friends she had who struggled with issues such as peer pressurization disabilities, and even teens who committed suicide. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing fan base as a lifestyle blogger and works for popular clean beauty company Ilia. The truth is that she was born with no left hand. This makes her unique. However, this isn't the only characteristic of her. Lockhart does not deny that she has a disability on Instagram, but she isn't making it the focal point of it. What message does it convey? We are all more than our physical selves. Our identities are multifaceted and encompass a variety of aspects. Lockhart, via video messages from his Nashville at home, claims that I don't wish for my physical appearance to define myself. I am more than my physical self. This doesn't interfere with my everyday life. Everything is normal and I've learned how to adjust. However, it's a component of me and I feel it's important to talk about. Lockhart is a true source of inspiration for self-acceptance in general and is currently on a lengthy journey to achieve the goal. She admits that she has gone through periods of feeling insecure about her body and feeling uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which exposed her arms. Now she wears whatever outfit she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook in awe. It's a journey is the key thing I'm not sure if it will be an end about self-love. It's the same for everybody regardless of the level of insecurity. It's important to surround yourself with people who can discern and understand your heart.
