Emily Irene VanCamp (Canadian actress) is most well-known for her roles as a lead actress in countless television series, however, she also has impressive roles on film. There is a huge fanbase in American as well as Canadian television. Emily was first interested in acting when she saw her sister Katie working on a film. She started taking classes in acting and auditioning when she realized that she loved acting. At first, she was able to land a couple of commercials, and then was cast in the Canadian children's television show Are You Scared of the Dark? which featured her in a single scene with any dialog. Her first break came at 15 years old when she got a role on the show on WB's Glory Days as a regular. Even though the show was cancelled after just nine episodes, Emily's acting caught the eye of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his television show Everwood. Emily was also a ballet dancer and photographer. Teen once named her among the best actors under the age of twenty. The Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed Emily as the top 51.
